Rodrygo’s Streaky Hot-Form Continues for Real Madrid Following a Right-Footed Banger during Champions League Win against Napoli

2 min read

Another sensational display by the Brazilian superstar Rodrygo, scoring one of the top goals of the night and helping Real Madrid secure its fifth win in the UEFA Champions League competition against Napoli, having already locked in a spot in the Round of 16.

After trailing by a goal for only two minutes, Rodrygo would answer back immediately with his third goal of the competition. The attack started from the halfway line with Brahim Díaz retrieving the ball successfully and beating the Napoli defender with a stunning spin move to his left before dribbling towards the edge of the box and dishing the ball to Rodrygo. There, the Brazilian maven grabbed the ball inside the 18-yard box and curled one to the far post, leaving the Napoli goalkeeper motionless.

‘Rodrygo’ the Second Hero Behind Bellingham

So far, Rodrygo has scored six goals in his last four matches and currently sits in second, behind the mastermind Jude Bellingham, with the most goals across all competitions with eight (five goals in LaLiga and three goals in UCL). He also leads the team with the most assists so far with five under his name.

His brilliant form began against S.C. Braga in Champions League action, where he and his Brazilian duo, Vinicius Junior, shared a goal each and defeated the Portuguese side 3-0. He later continued on throughout LaLiga, notching a double during a blowout win against Valencia CF before scoring his second brace of the season against Cádiz CF, where he notably marked one of the top goals of the season with a staggering nutmeg to get around his defender and a remarkable finish to the top right corner.

Rodrygo has been red hot for Real Madrid following Wednesday night’s performance against Napoli and at the moment, it looks like no team has an answer for the 22-year-old.

Next up, the Brazilian winger and Los Blancos will stay home as they’ll host Granada CF on Saturday, December 2.
